These awe-inspiring creatures roam wild and free near Helsinki where moose density (the number of moose per square kilometer) is the highest in Finland and among the highest in the world!

Our tours are limited to just 4 participants, ensuring a more intimate setting for wildlife observation. Small groups also create the perfect environment for meaningful conversations about wildlife and life in general.

Details:
Is it certain we are going to see moose? So far we have seen moose on every tour since Moose Safari started in 2016 (on tours between April and October, outside this season seeing moose is less certain).
Duration: Approximately 4 hours, most typically from 7 or 8 PM to 11 PM or midnight depending on the daylight hours in Helsinki. Please notice that the precise time of returning varies a bit depending on how amazing wildlife we encounter. Morning tours are available as private tours in September and October.
Pick-up location: In the center of Helsinki.
Availability: April 10th to November 10th.
Price for a shared, small group tour: 170 euros per person (that’s the total price including taxes and fees). For children aged 7 to 17 the price is 90 euros.
Maybe a private tour instead? Please inquire here. A private tour is not necessarily more expensive if you already have a group of your own. It might even be more affordable especially if you have your own car in use.

Gear needed: Not much. Somewhat waterproof shoes are an advantage but not necessary.
Group size: 2 to 4 people. If your group is larger than four people, please contact us and let’s see what we can do.
Solo travelers: Please book the tour, we will make it happen if and when there is more than one person on the tour. Also, you are welcome to book a private tour for just you alone! It is one of the best ways to do this safari.
Children: If you have children under the age of 7, please contact us and we will arrange a private tour for you to better cater for your needs.
Fitness? We will observe wildlife from the car or walking near the car, so a very basic level of fitness is enough.
Cancellation policy: Until 48 hours before the safari, we can convert a paid safari to a gift card which you can use yourself or give as a gift to somebody else. The gift card has no expiration date and can be used to Moose Safari products and services. After 48 hours before the safari no cancellation is accepted. Each situation may be different and we will try to find a solution that is satisfactory to both parties.
