An update on April 24th, 2025: I have a new website and a booking calendar too! I do shared tours and private tours. If you are 1 or 2 people, a shared tour is cheaper for you. If you are 3 or more people, please inquire for a private tour.
The tour in a nutshell:
The tour starts from the center of Helsinki (or in the case of a private tour from your doorstep) and takes you just outside the metropolitan area. Just 30-minutes from the center of Helsinki we start to be in areas with animals! Moose are the main stars of the show, but we will see lots of other animals too including deer, birds, hares, small predators and on rare occasions large predators!
Small group:
The tour is limited to just 4 participants. The smaller the group, the better from the point of view of enjoying animal watching.
Pricing and availability of a private tour
The price is approximately 140 euros per person and it depends on the details such as your location, the number of people and if you have a car in your use when visiting Helsinki. You are welcome to a private tour also if you are just 1 or 2 people but please notice that in that case the price is higher per person. Please inquire about availability here.

Details:
Is it certain we are going to see moose? So far we have seen moose on every tour since Moose Safari started in 2016 (on tours between May and October, outside this season seeing moose is less certain).
Duration: Approximately 4 hours, most typically from 7 or 8 PM to 11 PM or midnight depending on the daylight hours in Helsinki.
Children: If you have children under the age of 7, please contact us and we will arrange a private tour for you to better cater for your needs.
Fitness? We will observe wildlife from the car or walking near the car, so a very basic level of fitness is enough.
